Using Hobbytag

Privacy

Updated 9 October 2026. Contact Hobby Industries Ltd at info@hobbytag.com.

Browsing and contacting us

You can browse the directory without creating an account. Public member registration and self-service business accounts are not yet available during this test.

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information you choose to send. We use this to answer your enquiry, investigate a correction or rights concern, and keep a record of how it was handled. Do not send identity documents or sensitive personal information.

Account tools are currently limited to authorised testing. Where those tools are used, they store the supplied profile and business details, saved listings, followed interests, listing claims and review history. Public browsing does not create a member account.

Images and permissions

Image submissions include the prepared image, credit, permission evidence, allowed uses, expiry and review decisions. Public image uploads are not yet available; contact us first about an image enquiry.

Withdrawal stops new permitted sharing through Hobbytag; it does not automatically delete the stored file or review record. It cannot recall copies already downloaded or shared. Email us to request a review or deletion.

Optional usage counts

Optional view and click counts require both the site setting and your device’s opt-in. The counter respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Your choice is saved on this device and can be changed in the site’s usage preference control.

The counter records a random event identifier, date, section or listing, view or click, and whether it is an owner test. It does not record account identity, IP address, search query or referring page. Hosting and security services may maintain separate operational logs.

Other services

Postcode radius searches send the entered postcode to Postcodes.io through the Hobbytag server. Device location is not requested. The optional Near me map loads only after you choose Load map. It contacts OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address, browser information and the map area viewed. The map sends only the site origin as the referrer, not your postcode search text. OpenStreetMap privacy policy. Publisher-hosted images load directly from those websites in your browser. Organiser and social links take you to services with their own privacy practices.

Hobbytag runs on a Fasthosts server. Site records and uploaded images are stored privately on that server. Essential security cookies are used for administrator sign-in, and security logs help operate and protect the site. AI reviews and automatic social posting are not connected.

Keeping and correcting information

To request access, correction or deletion of information, email info@hobbytag.com. Requests are handled manually. Existing authorised test accounts can also remove saved listings and followed interests in My Hobbytag and change their profile details in account settings.

There is currently no automatic expiry for enquiry history, test profiles, claims, image records or audit history. Contact us to ask about a particular record or request deletion. Old optional usage counts are removed when a new valid count is recorded after the 90-day retention window; an inactive counter may retain older rows until maintenance runs. A fuller retention schedule is being prepared.

You can raise a privacy concern with us or the Information Commissioner’s Office. We will update this notice as the service changes.
